Why Paint ?

Hello All,

For months now, people have been screaming at me to start blogging. So after a lot of resistance and procrastination here I am. It is my attempt to communicate with the masses, help budding artists and generate discussions about my favorite pieces of art. I would like tell you a little about myself, what I paint and most importantly why I paint.

Salamanca is one of my favorite pieces of art. It is where I live and reflects how I see it. Eugene Ionesco says it best for me, “a work of art is above all an adventure of the mind”. This statement is just, pertaining to my impressionist painting of  Salamanca.

I often think human beings are fascinating . We are extremely complex, with a range of multiple identities. Being many things at once, a professional, mother, wife, child, and artist – finding that delicate balance can be a constant struggle. ivermectin cows Salamanca is my attempt to show merely one part of whom I am as a contemporary painter of Salamanca. This paintings is from a collection of Luis de Horna, a contemporary artist from Salamanca who I admire. when to use ivermectin for horses I did this painting to honor him using the oil painting techniques of  the one of the most famous artists ever. The inventive genius of Dutch painter,  post-impressionist Vincent Van Gogh, one of my favorite artists. I wanted to show my city through his eyes. If you have every been too Salamanca you may recognize some of the buildings in the painting. It is an older urban dwelling full of history whilst still brimming with exuberant life. A truly multicultural city. When appropriate, I love to use vibrant colors and different textures in my work and it seemed very appropriate in this piece. cheap revectina Hopefully the viewer can appreciate the love I have for the City.
